Shuttle collects very minimal, non-identifying usage information via Firebase Analytics to help resolve issues that cause crashes, and understand the general usage metrics of the app.
Such data collection is minimal, covering things like the number of active users, and how many times an action has been made in the app in its history. Collected data is non-identifying, and does not include details to any degree. For example, data will show a journey plan was made at a given time, but not who made it, the locations involved, or the result of the plan.
This data is used to better understand how the app is used and better target resources accordingly. It may also be used to celebrate milestones: for example a social media post announcing Shuttle has made over 100,000 journey plans.
This data will never be sold or transferred to a third-party.
When using Shuttle Network services (incl. Live Activities and Journey Planning), your data is only kept for the duration it's required to carry out your request. Only data that is necessary to perform the queried action is transmitted to servers (i.e. to and from locations for the journey planner). Data is destroyed as soon as your interaction with Shuttle Network is complete.
Shuttle interacts with the PTV Timetable API to handle some of your requests. This means you are also bound by their privacy policy, linked below.
Department of Transport and Planning Privacy Policy.Shuttle is privacy-focused. If you'd like clarification on this privacy policy, please reach out via david@mazzeoapps.com.
